Our Approach to RERA in the Realty Portal
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA) was established to bring accountability and transparency to the Indian real estate sector. Proptrik is a listing and discovery platform — we are not a real estate agent, developer, or party to any transaction.
We support RERA's goals by making relevant information visible to buyers and by encouraging everyone who lists on our platform to follow applicable regulations. Our Social portal for flatmates and PGs operates independently of RERA, as it deals with residential co-living and short-term arrangements.
How We Encourage Responsible Listings
RERA ID Field on Listings
Builders and developers listing new projects are encouraged to include their RERA Registration Number. When provided, it is displayed on the listing page so buyers can cross-verify directly on their state's official RERA portal.
Encouraging Agents to Share Their RERA Number
Real estate agents and dealers who have a RERA Agent Registration Number are encouraged to share it on their listings. This helps buyers make more informed choices about who they engage with.
Content Moderation
Our moderation process reviews listings before they go live and flags content that appears misleading or inconsistent. However, Proptrik does not independently audit or verify every claim made in a listing — listing accuracy remains the responsibility of the lister.
A Note for Buyers
Proptrik helps you discover properties and connect with sellers — but the final responsibility for verifying a property's RERA status, legal title, and ownership lies with you and your legal advisor.
We always recommend visiting your state's official RERA portal, inspecting the property in person, and consulting a qualified legal professional before making any financial commitment. Proptrik shall not be held liable for any discrepancies between a lister's claims and the actual property or project.
